Our founder ‘s vision for this cottage was to provide a safe space where no matter what season of life you are in, you can seek a range of alternative health services. Our space and treatment approach enables you to safely share your story and truly heal from the inside.

Zoe Papadatos
Founder, Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist

Zoe is the founder of Coastal Wellness Cottage and our leading Chinese herbalist and acupuncturist. Zoe knew from a young age that her purpose is to be helping women in our community through natural and alternative therapies. Zoe studied a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Technology Sydney and went on to undertake a 6-week placement in Cheng Du, China where she saw first hand the benefits of Chinese medicine in an integrative setting. She has also completed 4 weeks with the Acupuncture Relief Program in Nepal in 2023, treating people in the rural communities.
After graduating, Zoe soon opened her first clinic on the Central Coast, Eunoia Acupuncture in 2019 which has now blossomed into a supportive, integrative and holistic space of women’s health practitioners, Coastal Wellness Cottage.
Her vision for the Coastal Wellness Cottage is for women to be able to receive a range of alternative services to nourish their health with a treatment approach that enables them to safely share their stories and truly heal from the inside.
Zoe has over 7 years experience in treating a range of concerns such as women’s health, fertility, pregnancy acupuncture, pain management, and nervous system support. She believes in the importance of looking at the person as a whole. Her passion is supporting those start their family, pregnancy, postpartum, autoimmune conditions and chronic pain.

Samantha Booth

Sam is a women’s holistic health practitioner who is passionate about all things energy. Ever since Sam was young, energetic healing had been a fundamental part of her own life, now her passion is to share energetic healing with others and help them transform their wellbeing for the better.
Sam has studied a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture, Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Usui Reiki levels 1 & 2 and a Certificate of Pregnancy massage.
Sam integrates energetic healing in her treatments through the power of acupuncture needling, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, Chinese herbal formulae, Chinese diet therapy, and Qigong exercise to promote overall mind & body harmony.
Sam has a curiosity and love for all regions that Traditional Chinese Medicine offers, however, she has a special interest in women’s health and wellness with a focus on fertility, gut-brain connection, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and thyroid conditions.

Tanya Newton
Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist

Tanya has enjoyed practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1994. Her longstanding keen interest in health and healing led her originally to enrol in a western medical degree in Adelaide in the 1980s. During this time she was first introduced to Chinese medicine when she tried acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for a few of her own health issues. The results inspired her to switch direction towards learning more about the holistic philosophy and approach of Chinese medicine. This then became a lifelong passion and career providing the benefits of this wonderful system of medicine to others also seeking a more holistic approach to their healthcare and wellbeing.
Tanya graduated from the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1994 which included 3 months training at a hospital in Hangzhou China. Since then she has continued to develop her skills including studying with a TCM liver specialist in Shanghai China in 1996 and completing a Masters of TCM with a focus on Women’s health at the University of Western Sydney in 2008.
Fully committed to providing the best care for her clients, Tanya continues to update and expand her knowledge regularly by attending post-graduate seminars and courses.
Over her 30 years in practice Tanya has acquired extensive experience with a wide variety of both acute and chronic conditions.
She particularly enjoys supporting women with health issues in all phases of their lives.
Tanya provides acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and/or Chinese herbal medicine according to your needs and her experience of what works best for your condition. Your diet and lifestyle will also be considered and advice on these may be given.
When she’s not working Tanya loves bushwalking, yoga, cooking and travelling.

Kate Landete
Clinical Counsellor & EMDR Therapist

Kate is a compassionate, down to earth, trauma-informed Counsellor and EMDR therapist passionate about supporting individuals on their journey towards healing and growth. Kate specialises in mental health support for men, women and young adults 12 and up to resolve trauma, anxiety, depression, and deeply rooted stress using evidence -based techniques to foster resilience and emotional relief.
Kate takes a person centred, strengths based and neuro-affirming approach to create a safe environment for her clients to be raw, open and honest as they unpack and explore their thoughts, feelings, beliefs and experiences and work towards meaningful growth and change.
Kate has a special interest in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy, a powerful tool for processing and healing from trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. By using EMDR, she helps clients gently reprocess distressing memories, reduce their emotional impact, and create space for resilience and self-discovery.
Kate is particularly passionate about supporting women during the perinatal period (including fertility issues, conception, pregnancy, birth, grief and loss and navigating the matrescence—the journey into motherhood). She provides nurturing support for women and families as they embrace the emotional and physical complexities of this life stage, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and equipped with proactive self-care strategies.
With a Bachelor of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, Kate’s professional experience includes volunteer crisis support for Lifeline, youth intake work at Headspace, EAP counsellor and approved Victims of Crime Counsellor, and nearly a decade managing a boutique health and fitness centre. These experiences have shaped her holistic and person-centered approach to mental health and well-being.
Kate integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, positive psychology, ACT, DBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR, to meet each client’s unique needs. Her work is grounded in empowering clients to uncover their inner strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience as they navigate life’s challenges.
Whether guiding clients through healing from trauma or empowering them to find confidence and purpose, Kate is committed to fostering transformation and hope in every session.

Tess Philip
Registered Psychologist

Tess is a registered psychologist with over 15 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. With diverse experience including remedial massage, wellness coaching, and leading a national award-winning psychosocial disability support team, she brings a truly holistic and integrative approach to mental well-being. Her approach to psychological support is holistic, non-judgemental and strength-based, grounded in evidence-based practice. With lived experience, she understands the importance of creating a safe space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered to thrive. She takes the time to understand her client's story and how their experiences have shaped them, ensuring a personalised and meaningful therapeutic experience.
Tess has experience working across the lifespan, with a range of presentations including complex trauma, ptsd, mood disorders and anxiety. Her work is inspired by ancient wisdom teachings, grounded in scientific research. As a former body-based practitioner, she incorporates somatic-based and trauma-informed approaches to help her clients regulate their nervous system, towards a path of healing. Tess works collaboratively alongside her clients, and depending on their individual goals and unique presentation or concerns, she utilises a range of evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Schema Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).
Tess has a background as a business owner, freelance writer, and creative with experience working as a disability support worker, youth mentor, therapy group facilitator, and private practice administrator. Tess was drawn to psychology as a result of her own personal experience with mental health challenges as a young person during her HSC year and into early adulthood. Almost twenty years later, as a psychologist, she has a special interest in working with adolescents and young people and providing neuro-affirming ADHD and Autism assessments for ages 12 years and over. Tess is also a WorkCover provider, registered with SIRA and has an interest in supporting individuals to navigate workplace challenges & stress. -
Sarah Munro
Massage Therapist

Sarah has been a passionate yogini her entire adult life and has been a practicing body worker for 19 years. She spent many of those years working with chiropractors using remedial techniques to address chronic and acute muscular-skeletal conditions and pain caused by postural dysfunction.
Over the last couple of years, Sarah has gradually advanced her work from a myofascial perspective. She has developed her own unique and creative style of body work which blends myofascial release, classical 5 elements acupressure, myofascial cupping, zen thai shiatsu and Feldenkrais method.
As a yoga therapist and myofascial massage therapist on the Central Coast, Sarah seeks finesse in all her treatments, and each hour is approached as a carefully structured and cohesive somatic experience that yields lasting improvements. Sarah still loves working on complex chronic and acute issues but has joyfully discarded the maxim of ‘no pain, no gain’.
In addition Sarah has a passion for working with neurodivergent clients. Having traveled this path herself and parented neurodivergent children she applies her lived understanding of sensory processing issues, nervous system dys-regulation, anxiety, depression, with a wealth of knowledge and tools gained through two decades of body work, breath work and yoga experience to assist clients in somatic education and safe, mindful nervous system regulation.

Meet Astrid, our beautiful massage therapist, beautician and Japanese Ki Yoga Practitioner.
Astrid has over 20 years experience in working with and treating women within our community, giving her the experience to provide a niche treatment that allows her to provide a relaxing, supportive and safe space for women to drop into a deeper part of themselves for inner peace and vitality. She works with the power of intention and loving presence to assist with change and healing of the body and spirit through heart and womb alignment.
Astrid draws upon wisdom from ancient cultures and philosophies such as ancient Hawaiians, Japanese yoga, Chinese tao, mayan ways and shamanic tools and rituals to provide truly diving offerings and enhance her own wellbeing.
Astrid’s mission is to make a difference in peoples lives and in our community. Assisting in personal growth and transformation, living as one with the mother earth.
